Congresswoman Susan Davis: America needs a Labor Secretary Who Will Put Workers First
WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Susan Davis (D-San Diego), a senior member of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, released the following statement on Andrew Puzder withdrawing his nomination for U.S. Labor Secretary.
“America needs a Labor Secretary who is going to put workers first, and Andrew Puzder was not that person. I raised serious concerns about his nomination in a letter to the Senate. While I am not confident he will do so, I urge President Trump to nominate someone who will fight for better wages, safer working conditions, and secure retirement benefits for all Americans.”
