Interested in public service? Have a passion for politics? Internships are available in both my San Diego and the Washington offices.
Internship candidates should be prepared to work on either a full or part-time basis and small nominal stipends are available. Internship hours may also fulfill college credits. Interns assist with fielding constituent inquiries, public events, casework, research, and other special projects. Internship candidates should be prepared to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
Internship applications are evaluated on a rolling basis for fall, spring and summer sessions. While we encourage all enthusiastic, hard-working applicants, being a constituent of California’s 53rd District is a plus!
For our San Diego district office, applications are due the first Monday of November for our Spring session, the first Monday of March for Summer, and the first Monday of June for Fall. If you are interested in interning in the San Diego office, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org that includes your resume, a cover letter, and three references.
If you are interested in interning in the Washington office, please send an email to email@example.com with this information.
